Biography:
Dr. Shareefa AlGhamdi received a Bachelor degree of Science in biochemistry from King Abdulaziz University (Hons). Master’s degree (M.Sc.) was
earned from King Abdulaziz University (Hons). The title of Master’s thesis was
(Resistin and its relationship to obesity and Type II diabetes). In 2015, PhD
degree in Molecular Toxicology was attained from University of Surrey in United
Kingdom. In 2015, she received a distinguish Saudi student award by Prince Muhammed bin Nawaf Al-Saud, the Royal Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United Kingdom-London-UK. In 2016. she was appointed chairwoman of Biochemistry department for 4 years.

My research interests focus on:
- Understanding the molecular factors that affect drug-induced toxicity.
- Studying the effect of liver disorders and obesity on drug-induced hepatotoxicity.
-Studying the effect of vitamin D on various physiological\pathological conditions.
- Studying the molecular factors of obesity in Saudi population.
- Studying the role of drugs/pollutants-induced toxicity and role of antioxidant as protective factors.
- Studying the environmental toxicants and pollutants.
